Social Media Manager

Risha, born and raised in Toronto, Canada, started Bharatnatyam with Nritya Kala Mandir in 2015 upon completion of Medical School. She has had a passion for dance from a young age after watching Bollywood movies. She has performed at events all over GTA, including weddings! She choreographs dances for various events, brides, grooms, and their respective bridal parties.

Risha started taking private lessons in Bharatnatyam with Smt. Kanan Bhatt. In a span of 3 months of training, she had completed the 1st and 2nd year basics of Bharatnatyam and performed as Ravan alongside her peers during our Annual Event. In 2016, Risha started to assist Smt. Kanan Bhatt in dance classes privately and in groups. That same year, she helped Nritya Kala Mandir go digital by starting up and managing social media accounts. She is currently an assistant teacher as well as our Social Media Manager.
